yup. no contact on 28.365 but heard someone asking if freq in use but didn't hear call sign.

That was probably me.  I tried again but I don't think the band is going to cooperate.

I haven't got a QSL yet.

You on the radio?  We're trying to hook some people.

Looks like somebody moved into 14.242 so we can maybe move up some.  VW, I'm up and running.  Is anyone else available?
#52
The TAPRN frequencies are 7.242 and 14.242.  I'd suggest 20 meters.

I should be available.  I'll meet you here and we'll pick a frequency then.

I guess we'll need everyone to post their call signs.  I'm <expletive deleted  :)>.  Real name PJ.

In the last half hour I've contacted W1AW/4, W1AW/5, Slovenia and Cuba.  Pretty soon I might not qualify for the New To Radio forum.  Pretty cool.

:)

EDIT:   and Brazil.

As long as they've got beer and fishing tackle I could probably entertain myself.  My honey-do lists are self generated and therefore considerably shorter than most.   8)

Not yet but will tonite.  I had no idea what the call sign was till I looked it up.  That island looks pretty but there can't be a whole lot to do.

OK, I think I'm good.

One question though:  Under "Mode" they have numerous items in the drop down menu.  Two of which are "Phone" and "SSB".  Will this cause a mismatch even though they're both correct?

OK, I found the answer: all phone modes will also match as they are in the phone group.  Therefore, "Phone" and "SSB" will make a match.

So I'll pose another question:  When you post a QSO with W1AW, will you get a match if you don't add "/7"?  None of my W1AW QSOs have a match but it may take awhile for them to upload all that.

Gotta admit that "izzy" sent me straight to google.

"izzy bandage dressing" looks useful.

"izzy bandage dress" looks a whole lot better.

Learned TWO new things!!    ;)
