Happy Easter!

Nice video, Gil.  I would say nice looking boat, but I know very little about boats.  Good luck this time around.  Any way we could talk you out of taking it back solo?

Well, despite my complete lack of literacy in the French language I managed to muddle through the process and I now have a one year subscription. Once I figured out where the pay with PayPal button was - actually I sort of accidentally stumbled onto it - it was back to English which I at least have a passing knowledge of.  :o  The core group of us regulars will no doubt make the effort to figure it out but it might just put some people off and they decide it's not worth the trouble. Although honestly it will probably only be us regulars subscribing anyway. Just my two cents worth.

it looks like, from the French format, that regular credit card subscription is allowed.  As I have no Pay Pal account, will it work to enter just my card information?

Thanks for all the good advice, guys.

Well, I'm deeply embarrassed.  Time to get back to the basics.

Morse Code / cw on 2 meters
December 31, 2016, 08:55:50 PM
I live in a fairly rural area of western Montana and realize there are only about a dozen fellow hams in the immediate area.
I recently configured my Buddipole for 2 meter verticle and began searching for signals in the 144.05 to 144.10 CW area.
After hearing nothing for several weeks, I began throwing CQ out in an effort to make a contact.  My initial thought was to find someone
to work with me on my slow CW skills locally.  After hearing nothing, I'm wondering if this is a mode on 2 meters seldom used.  Has
anyone here had any luck with CW on 2 meters?

Antennas / Re: Ground rods, how?

Hi Gil.  I usually start by standing on the tailgate of the pickup with a steel fence post pounder.  That'll work till

you have two feet or less left, then a heavy hammer will generally finish the job.
