Morse Code / Interplanetary qso
April 04, 2014, 03:56:27 PM
So Morse code has gone interplanetary, longest 'qso' is earth to mars on 10 meters ;).

I just received the latest NAQCC (april 2014) newsletter, and apparently Morse Code qso has gone interplanetary, with the Curiosity Mars Rover on Mars.

front page of the newsletter, third article, at the bottom of the page:

well, an automated qso, lol.

From 2010, pretty recent.

a bit older, this version from 2003

downloadable pdf of the book, and some other info on antennas and such.

Technical Corner / Nice Link Nor Cal QRPP Journal
October 25, 2012, 12:03:32 AM
While browsing around looking at some old qrp rigs (Norcal sierria, now offered by Wilderness Radio) I came across a link to the old Nor Cal QRPP Journal, now long out of print.

Some great QRP projects, antennas and discussions are contained within these pages.

Thought it might be of interest to the group here.

Be  sure to read their statement of conditions, this is a treasure, enjoy!
