Made one yesterday, used rg-174 for portable use. First attemp gave vswr 1.4 on 3.550, good on 7.050 and around 5 on 60m (the kx3 tuner will fix that).
Waiting for the snowstorm to end, so i can do a rx/tx test

Anyone tried this antenna design?

I`m looking at getting me a new portable radio, for both cw and ssb, and maybe digi.
The transceiver should be lightweight, internal atu, intrnal batteries and cover at least 20-80m bands.
I`ve got a kx3 and a kx1 (with atu and 30/80 module), the kx3 is to bulky and the kx1 is missing the ssb.. I really like the simplicity of the kx1, I like stuff that works without having to digg into a menu.
