Hello Guys,
The next six days I will be working on a boat, at the dock unfortunately, but oh well.. I have my K1 with me and will use the insulated backstay as my antenna. Not sure of the times I'll be on the air, but when I am, I will most likely be calling on 14060. I also have a marine Icom IC-M700, so I might try to sign-in some nets on 14300.
It's going to be a hot week here with 90F+ every day, and there is no air conditioner :o
Gil.
Post when you're on.
Good luck with the heat and humidity. We've been having some idyllic conditions here in MA with temps in the low 70s and low humidity :D
Yeah... You don't even have to drink here, you just walk with your mouth open :o

Outstanding! I LOVED living aboard. Another net for you is The Waterway Net (Ham) and The Cruiseheimers Net. Both may change times freqs since I was sailing, so best to look them up on-line.

The trip got delayed a bit, maybe a couple days, maybe a week, we'll see...

Some old roommates of mine bought a fairly large boat together as their new home. They had a yard sale before moving from their apartment to the boat. I bought their pool table. They figured it might be tough to level a pool table on a boat. :o
Well, I made it out there; might be on the air tonight on 14060, but not sure. It's so hot here, I stay outside as much as possible. I might set-up on deck though, we'll see if I have time...

An awning over the cockpit area, using the boom as a ridgepole if needed and made-fast to the rails cut the sun, but lets the breeze (if any) through. Now that I'm in desert heat, I doubt that I could return to humidity.

Yep, I should get one. Well, no contacts, but I didn't try very long. I was tired and the temperature was 90F+ "feels like 105.." very humid. The K1 tunes the insulated backstay on 15/20/30/40m, no surprise there...
