Post by: whoppo on October 08, 2015, 01:45:31 PM
Hey New England hams and radio enthusiasts,

Any of you planning to visit Deerfiled, NH next weekend (October 16, 17) for NEAR-fest?

I haven't been in a couple years, mainly because I don't have time to play with the toys I already have.  It's big and worth going to.
However, I am starting to believe you can control the weather with electromagnetic waves since it always seems to rain on NEAR-Fest.

Hehe... yeah, we've missed the past few years of the Deerfield 'fester due to conflicts with opening nights at the Schubert.  This fall we're good to go and I'm looking forward to it. We'll be camping in the field Thursday night then parking the motor home in our favorite spot near the oxen barn. It's more of a social event for us than it is a buy/sell opportunity. And yep.. ready for the rain.
