I'm officially excited - I emailed Hans at QRP labs about current draw - although he wouldnt commit to an answer he did say he was working on getting it as low as possible.

The perfect prepper radio ?

Ive just built the 40m QCX kit from Hans - and it was a pleasure to do (my 1st proper kit) , the instructions are so well thought out and the support forum is so helpful.  It worked 1st time.  I messaged Hans to ask about current draw on the new QSX, but he wouldnt divulge, except to say he was looking to keep it low where possible, but to bear in mind that its SDR based, so wont be flea power.....   I might order 3 !!!!!

I'm in line also, can't wait. Also waiting for the 40 meter Slop Bucket II to be released with the LCD display!

When will QSX be available?
We don't have an exact date, it depends how long it takes to finish all the above features and manufacture it etc. *Hopefully* something like November 2018, but this could change. Any updates will be published on this page.

Update 25-Jan-2019:
Development continues, progress is being made but there are a lot of details to take care of. Still no update on projected completion dates yet.

Update 05-Nov-2018:
We have some delays due to poor health, see https://groups.io/g/QRPLabs/message/27851 - recovering nicely now so will make more progress soon and update on this page.

Regarding the last link in there — I wish Hans Summers the very best health recovery!

I am hoping for news soon... It's been way too long, but he's a one-man operation so we need to be patient...

Gil.

Since my previous post (21-06-2019), there is one update at http://qrp-labs.com/qsx.html:

QuoteUpdate 20-Aug-2019: I know this is taking longer than expected, but there are still a number of details to sort out. I do not want to release it before it is properly ready. It needs to work perfectly first. It's a huge complex project... so please bear with me, patiently...
