3 of us went out for it.
Camped on a mountain top in SW Idaho, and ran wire antennas and QRP rigs. Phone and digital contacts on 20, 40 and 80.
Weather was tough, but that's the point!!!

Great Job my friend!
I suppose I didn't need to be an extra either, but I wanted to try and do it just to say I did it. Don't plan on changing my call sign either. It hasn't helped me do anything different or better with radios, but I guess it is nice to be able to say
   "Yeah. I'm and Extra!"
  Good luck out there

I put in a call to elecraft, no word back as of this morning.
I don't see anything on their website about this mod either. Maybe I just missed it.
can you tell me how the software gets installed?

Hi Guys,
Late to this thread, but need some help.
I'm having trouble with both of these KX2/3 downloads, I can't make either of them open or run on my PC. I have a KX2, the programming cable, andKX2 utility on the PC and it all works fine.
What do I do with it all now?
  thanks for the help

Morse Code / Re: cw on 2 meters
January 06, 2018, 07:59:08 PM
Just saw this thread.
I have been having good luck doing 2 meter digital and CW through my comet vertical, to my friend about 25 miles away over rough terrain using a J-pole 25' up, here in Idaho. He's impossible to get with FM simplex, but SSB seems to just laser through no problem. Even sending forms and such through FLDIGI using MFSK/FLAMP works surprisingly well. Maybe we are just lucky?
