Title: Xiegu X108G
Post by: Jim Boswell on August 08, 2016, 04:09:12 PM
Hello, I have been looking at this radio and wondered if anyone had experience with them? I have an Icom 703 but sometimes I am scared to take it into the field, those 703 are worth a tidy sum of money. What do you think?  73'S  KA5SIW

It gets reasonable reviews on eHam.  The manufacturer's site calls it the "Outdoor Version".  Is that referring to the "easy to read display".  To me Outdoor Version implies water resistance, but I don't see mention of that anywhere.

For about the same $ you could have a good used FT-817.  Any reason why you are leaning towards the X108G?
