Title: Radio Set Go - QRP TFR
Post by: KK0G on February 16, 2014, 09:56:25 PM
I found this website quite a while ago but at the time he had nothing for sale, I see he now has a single tranceiver for sale. I have no affiliation, just thought I'd pass it along for it's technical attributes (in other words it's cool 8) ).

Neat, but for $160 more you get a KX3. You could also build yourself a KX1 in a waterproof case like Ray did, and for less.

Yes, personally I think it's an insanely high price at $725 especially since for far less money my KX1 covers one more band, has a built in ATU, is far smaller and lighter, and has less current draw. The only advantage this thing has over my KX1 is being waterproof but it's still pretty cool and most importantly a source of inspiration and ideas for homebrewing something similar.
