Gil, It is not clear how the three pieces are held together to make a solid unit ?
Was the 6 M antenna too flimsy because of the splice or not related. Why not just use a regular straight fitting ?
I presume this antenna is directional ? How much gain ?

Hi, I used a plastic rod inside the copper tubing for the gaps.

QuoteWas the 6 M antenna too flimsy because of the splice or not related.

Both because of the splice, plastic rods and the tubing being too thin. A 16mm tube will allow me to use a thick wooden dowel instead of a thin plastic rod.

Fitting for what?

Yes, gain is around 5.8dbi.
