Is there such a thing as high tensile wire for a longwire SWL?

The WireMan makes all kinds of antenna wires.  Scroll down to #534, their Invisible Toughcoat Silky wire.  It's 26AWG, 19 strand (very limp) steel core.  This would be ideal.  Super strong, flexable yet thin and light.  This is what LNR Precision uses in their Trail Friendly antenna.
