Hi, New to site, several years into radios.

I have several radios, both the 817nd and the 450d. I can the box for the 817nd (hammo box) forget the site right now; however, I want to make one for the 450d, any Elmer s out there with any tips?

Hi, what you will run into with the 450D is still high current draw on receive, hence heavy batteries, unless you use LIPOs, but you still won't get much air time. What if you have to carry that box on foot? I'd use the 817nd...
