Ctx-10 vs. KX-2?
« on: May 30, 2019, 07:48:43 AM »
I`m looking at getting me a new portable radio, for both cw and ssb, and maybe digi.
The transceiver should be lightweight, internal atu, intrnal batteries and cover at least 20-80m bands.
I`ve got a kx3 and a kx1 (with atu and 30/80 module), the kx3 is to bulky and the kx1 is missing the ssb.. I really like the simplicity of the kx1, I like stuff that works without having to digg into a menu.

Kx2
+size and weight
+elecraft
+many users
-pain in the b... to recharge the batteries without ac-power

Ctx-10
+internal charger
+accepts 5-20 vdc
+looks more rugged
-few users
-a non ham companu
-size and weight
-fewer options in the menu

What is our thoughts of these to transceivers?
